New Years Day 5 miler on Kelly Drive 1/1/14

Fun run with the BGR's and some New Freedom Striders and FRC. We had a great chilly new years day group run. It was very fun and there were a ton of people out that day.

I'm so glad to start the new year off on the right foot.....

Fairmount Running Club Annual Holiday Lights Run 2013

Once again, FRC had an awesome Holiday Lights Run through center city Philadelphia. We started at the Fairmount Running Company and then ran down Broad St. to Franklin Square Park. Then we went over to Macy's on Market Street. Then over to Walnut Street for a brief stop at the Apple Store and Rittenhouse Square Park. After that we ran to Love Park for the last stop at Philadelphia's' Christmas Village.

Pre Run get together at the Fairmount Running Company and the Brooks Rep showed off the new reflective gear.

Fairmount Running Club Volunteering at the Philadelphia Marathon

It was a blast again for another year with the FRC Crew volunteering for the Philadelphia Marathon. We had the same location this year, at the Falls Bridge 17 mile and 21 mile area. We arrived nice and early and chalked up the street and tied up our banners.

Our main job again this year was to tell runners which direction to go, keep others off the running course, and make sure that runners if injured to care for them.
